Here's to good friends!

A really wonderful friend named Sara gave me the coolest gift for my birthday this year. It was kinda funny when she told that she bought me anything because she thought that I wouldn't like it! Actually she was the highest bidder at a breast cancer event and won this gift.... so I guess she thought I would think that was dumb or something... I don't know what she was thinking! She won a 100$ gift certificate to Canvas On Demand. 100.00$!!!! That's crazy! Who gives there best friend 100 bucks for their birthday?! Well she does because she is awesome! 

I went to Canvas On Demand to use this wonderful present. It was super easy. I upload a picture that I want them to put onto canvas and they send it to me! Fun right?! This is the picture I sent them.

I know I have showed it to you before but how cute is that! There wont be a lot of pictures like that because these kids will not sit sill for a minute. And how amazing is that water? Like heaven. This was also a really amazing trip {Thanks MeMe!}

So some time before Christmas I will get my little boys printed on a canvas. Just like a painting... but not! So thank you Sara, You'r the best!

So rolling with this beautiful blue color I have been looking for ways to change my walls up a little bit. I have a few ideas I will share with y'all as I get them done. I have also been searching Pinterest for new ideas.

This is a great thing to do once a year. I think it gives you an reason to update the pictures in your frames and get a little crafty {in case you needed an accuse!}. 

Is this something you do? Where do you get inspired for decorating your home? I would love some links if anyone knows where to find color infused walls.

DIY tree garland

I know most of you have probably decorated your Christmas trees 

all ready, but if you haven't here is a fun little craft 

to do to put on your tree.

My mom made us do this every year when I was a kid, I'm not even sure where she got the idea from but doesn't take long, 

it's cheep, and you can do it while you watch t.v.,

My kind of craft. 

Home made garland

Here is what you need 

-Needle and thread

-Fresh cranberries

-Popcorn

Big list right?

Now that you have what you need,

take you thread and unroll about 5 feet, then put you needle on it.

Make a pattern how ever you want with the popcorn and cranberries. I used 4 cranberries and 2 popcorn. 

Fill up your 5 foot of thread and then drape it onto your tree.

Repeat till you have enough to drape allover the whole tree. I have a 5 foot tree this year and I needed to do about 4 of these strings.

That's it! So easy right? Good thing about this is when Christmas is over you can hang it outside for the birds to eat.

Inspiration Workshop

My dining could really use some help. I'm so glad Gussy asked us to speak about dining rooms today because I feel like this is one of the most important rooms in the house.

I believe every family should make the time and sit down and have at least one meal a day together. I know it could be very hard to do these days but if you pick a time and just do it you will see how much closer your family will become. I love sitting at the dinner table and going over how school was, and hearing what my hubby did at work and telling him what the baby did today. It's a special time in this household.

I don't know about you, but if I am sitting at a table and I am surrounded by pops of beautiful fun colors it makes me feel so much happier. Color has a funny way of changing my moods. So on that note everything should just be bright and cheery! Wouldn't you like to sit in a dining room with your family that looks like this?

All of these picture are so much fun! I feel the need to go spruce up my dining area and put super bright colors in it!

Now my husband is such a "Man's Man" so I'm pretty sure he will not go along with the idea of having a bright cheery "girly" anything in my house, But a girl can dream right?!?! So one day, I shall convince him to at least let me have a room like the last picture.
