Sunday Funday

I'm not real sure how many girls would consider this "fun" but today we took out my husband Airboat to a local river and did a little bit of riding.
Some how I find it relaxing listening to the noise. Not sure why because its ridiculously loud! But the untouched Florida water and wildlife is really beautiful.

I thought it was going to be a little warmer today but it was actually kinda chilly when the sun decided to hide behind clouds once we started riding the boat.

We packed a few subs and stopped and ate lunch.

Then we headed to our favorite spot in the summer time called "The Big Blue"

Remember when I said it was a little chilly?! Well Bradley was crazy to want to go swimming! Not to mention that "Big Blue" is a natural spring that is 72 degrees year round. It feels great in the summer but today is was a whole 72 degrees outside!

After a chilly ride we went to the closest spring to the boat ramp and did a little fishing

....the boys didn't catch anything but all in all, very nice. This Momma needed some time off from chasing crazy Gauge around the house! Thanks Grammy for keeping him!!

{Happy New Year!}

Thanksgiving

I love love love this time of year! Sometimes living here in Florida without having pretty colored leaves or even cool temps., I forget that it is fall until
Thanksgiving comes around .  My husbands grandparents are from Live Oak Florida, (2 hours north) so we go to visit all his family there each year. There is no getten' all dressed up for this occasion. Boots and jeans are the way to go. Talk about some down home cookin'! If anyone knows about
the food in the south it's the fine folks in Live Oak!

This is what our menu usually consists of
-Fried Turkey
-Baked Turkey
-Ham
-cranberry sauce in the shape of a can!
-green bean casserole
-sweet potato casserole
-squash casserole
-baked mac and cheese

I could really go on with the casserole dishes... would you like me to? haha, OK. It's truly amazing. The dessert table will most likely be as big as the dinner table and we serve our self buffet style. I'm so thankful each year I get to spend with these people. They are the most kind, sweet and loving family you will ever meet.

The house we usually go to is the house that "Papa" grew up in. {Its kinda looks like the pic above} It's an old farm house surrounded by pine tree farms and cow fields. We sit out side and eat under the pecan trees until our button pops off our jeans.

I really can not wait till next week to get to eat all this good food and spend the day with the
people I am most thankful for.

A few things I am thankful for this year

-Being able to stay home with this baby
-My husband working so hard
-My kiddos being happy and healthy
-Having food in our refrigerator
-Good friends
-Great family

Sunday funday

Today was fabulous! I couldn't be happier that my sister Kristin has been in town for our family reunion and that we got to spend the day together just me and her before her trip back to Cali.
I love these times I spend with her. With her being on the other side of the country I only get these moments about twice a year.
This morning my hubby dropped the baby off with his mom and he took Brad to Shoot some guns and do other manly things so I could go to the beach. I picked Kristin up at about 9:30 and we headed down to Sarasota (2 1/2 hour drive) so we could lay in the sunshine and gaze at the pretty ocean all afternoon. I was so excited to go that I forgot my camera  (insert panic here).
But don't you worry I have a few crappy cell phone pic's for ya (yey)
Seriously this beach is worth the drive for me. Its one of the prettiest beaches in Florida. The sand is amazing! Its pure white and feels like powder. Even in the middle of summer it never gets hot. And the water... oh the water is clear blue bliss. Ok, so today it was freezing and I didn't get in but normally its great.

I love Florida! It's crazy to me to think that some people are all bundled up in fall and this is us... chillin' on a beach in November sippin' fruity cocktails and getting our tan on. As I was laying on my lawn chair I was thinking about the last time I had a day where it was about me. About what I wanted to do, with out worrying about what time the baby needs a nap, or anything that has to do with my little children. I think a lot of mommies don't take the time to make your self happy. Today was so relaxing, even if it took two and a half hours to get me there.

It was really sad to drop her off at her and say good bye. I'm going to miss her so much. With the long ride home all by my self I turned up the radio (maby even blew a speaker) and rolled all the windows down for the first time in like forever and jammed out!! It was great knowing that no one could here me sing random songs from the past since i'm a terrible singer.

Thank you Kristin for a wonderful day. I wish that we could spend every weekend together! I love ya!

A little fun on Sunday

Source via Katie on Pinterest

Today was one of those kinda days where we didn't really have anything to do. My hubby is usually the one that finds things to do on the weekend and we go do them. Well with him out of town since Friday we ended up taking two trips to the park. I let Brad pick the park and to my surprise he didn't want to go to the really big playground that's like way across town. He simply picked the very small one close to the house. (Happy Dance)

I don't think that I have really takin' in the fact that Gauge is like seriously walking.
I know that he is walking, but why the heck have I been carrying him every where???????
This was the first time I have been to the park and put him down! And the fact that I could sit down and watch him explore everything was pretty sweet. I thought for sure he would be eat a lot more mulch then he actually did. He was just happy walking around and watching his brother play.

What a great day spent with my babies. I'm a lucky momma.
How was your weekend??

With fall, comes the corn maze.

There is a lot of reason's why I love fall.  I would say the pretty color's in the tree's would be first on my list but here in Florida we don't have any of that. So instead Ill skip to going to the fabulous Coon Hallow corn maze. I love how they decorate, pumpkins everywhere and fake colored leaves. It all just makes me want to take a million photo's of my kiddo's. And so that's what I did.

The maze was alot of fun. My momma and Bradley took one way and my sister Amy, the baby and I took another. We gave our self 30 minutes to see who could find the most check points in the maze. After 30 minutes we ran into each other and had found all the same numbers. So we called it a tie. All in all a wonderful day spent with the ones I love. If you are ever in the area your should check it out.

1890's festival

Today was so beautiful out and I was very happy to spend almost all of it outside. I took the kiddo's over to Grammy's house at the ripe 'ol hour of 7:00am and headed off to pick up one of my besties for a fun filled morning up in Macintosh. Every year there is over 1000 vendors selling all types of goodies from antiques to fresh squeezed lemonade.

Now I think Olivia understands why I left my kiddos at Grammy's house. Steering a massive stroller through a sea of people is not what I like to call happy shopping. *Sorry Olivia for posting the crappy picture but it's all I had*
I seriously love this town. How cute is that church? And the house's! Don't get me started. I all ready told my hubby that I want to live there. I don't care how far the grocery stores are! Ohhhh just to sit on my porch and gawk at all the big live oaks every afternoon is a beautiful thought.
